My Passport is a set of portable external hard drives manufactured by Western Digital. There are currently six series of My Passport drives; Essential Edition , Essential SE Edition , Elite Edition , Essential for Mac , Studio Edition and Essential SE for Mac .
My Passport Drive is designed to look like and be the size of a passport, there is no drive in the passport series that requires a power socket even though the "elite edition" has a docking system.

Important Edition
Important Edition includes USB 2.0 although the new model also includes a USB 3.0 port, White LED indicator.
Essential SE Edition
Essential SE Editions has USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports and has 750 GB and 1 TB variations; Essential SE Edition has the same physical appearance as the Essential Edition.
Elite Edition
The Elite Edition has a USB 2.0 port and has variations of 320 GB (320 GiB), 500 GB (500 GiB) and 640 GB (640 GiB). The Elite edition includes a desktop dock and has a LED capacity gauge on the front and a key indicator. This edition comes in red, blue and black.

Mac Edition
Important Edition
The Essential Edition for Mac has a USB 2.0 port and a 320 GB (320 GiB) capacity and is available in black gloss. It has the same design as the Essential Edition.
Essential SE Edition
The Essential Edition for Mac has a USB 2.0 port and a 1 TB capacity and comes in silver color. It has the same design as the Essential Edition.
Studio Edition
The Studio Edition has FireWire 400, FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 ports and 320 GB (320 GiB) and 640 GB (640 GiB) capacities. The Studio Edition has a capacity gauge on the top side and has a silver look.
