Human Elements is an online multiplayer video game developed by Robotoki for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The expansion was stopped when the studio closed as shown by the farewell message on the Robotoki blog (now dead) on January 20, 2015, by studio founder, Robert Bowling.

Development

Human Element is the first game developed by independent Robotoki gaming company, formed by Robert Bowling after he left Infinity Ward after the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 . The premise of the game centers on the question, "What is the greatest threat in the zombie apocalypse?"; Bowling believes it is a fear that the dead are walking implanted on the survivors, who lead them to do things that do not make sense to survive. The game focuses on the survivors of more than zombies, "human elements", and lasts 35 years after the zombie apocalypse begins.

It can be played on multiple devices; the given example is that one player can play console versions for hundreds of hours, just for action, while smart class players, playing on tablets, can join previous alliance players and scavenge for them, and then benefit from the buff provided by class strength alliance. Although it is not the same experience, players all contribute to the overall goal of survival.

There are three player attributes to choose from when creating their character: class, identity, and persona. Class types include action, intelligence, and stealth, with each offering a number of different abilities. Identity options include a single adult, partnering adult, or an adult with a child, and equals choosing difficulties early in the game. Persona determines the gender and race of a player. Bowling states, "how you choose to start in the world will determine how you can engage and impact in your scenario will be presented at the physical and moral level that you approach the world."

This game was announced on June 1, 2012, and further details were released in the July edition of Game Informer . On July 19, 2012, Robotoki president Robert Bowling announced that the Human Element would have an episodic prequel released exclusively in Ouya, as the first party title. But it was later announced that the studio decided to cancel the Ouya version of the "very early" Human Element and shift the focus to an open world experience on other more powerful platforms.

Robotoki closed on January 20, 2015 due to the lack of a premium game publishing deal of the game and the inability of the company founders to fund their own game development. The game is currently in hiatus.
