Compressed air filters , often referred to as line filters , are used to remove contamination from compressed air after compression occurs.
When the filer is combined with the regulator and oiler, it is called air set .
Air leaving standard screws or piston compressors will generally have a high water content, as well as high concentrations of oil and other contaminants. There are many different types of filters, suitable for different pneumatic applications.

Working principle
Unchecked pressed air often contains dust, oil, rust, moisture and other harmful substances, and therefore requires filtering. In the first stage of filtration, compressed air passes through a tubular mesh filter, which creates a coalescence effect. Here the larger particles are adsorbed on the filter and the water will condense into larger droplets, which can then enter the separation chamber. The compressed air is slowed, which makes the particles condense on the pad like a honeycomb, allowing water droplets to run to the bottom of the drainage system and through automatic or electrical discharge valves to discharge. At the first filtration stage, more than 95% of water droplets, oil and large particles are discarded. This practice is most common to remove water, but it is also used to remove oils.
At the second filtration stage the air is passed through fibers made of cotton, producing thousands of small vortices and accelerating the air.

Filter type
Filter particulate
Compressed air filters of particles are used to remove dust and particles from the air.
Activated carbon filter
The activated carbon filter uses a composite carbon material to remove gas and odor from the air. They are used in factories where food is produced or to inhale gas.
Unify filters
High pressure compressed air compressed air filter removes water and oil aerosols by uniting aerosols into droplets. This happens partly because of the winding path and the drop in pressure. Coalescers remove water and oil aerosols from the airflow, and are assessed on contamination of particles through direct interception. Oil filtration, water aerosol, dust and dirt particles to 0.01 Ãμm are best achieved in the industry.
Cold merge filter
The cold incorporation filter is a coupling filter operated at about 35 ° F (2 ° C), which allows them to be more effective at removing moisture.
Filter the compressed intake
Intake filters are the first line of defense in screening. This filter can remove contamination up to 0.3 Ãμm and can eliminate chemical contaminants.
