Affinity Photo is the exclusive raster graphics editor by Serif for macOS, iOS and Windows. This is a non-subscription based software that has been described as an alternative to Photoshop, and is compatible with common file formats (including PSD). Affinity Photo functions include editing raw image format files, color space options, direct previews as applied effects, as well as Image grafting, alpha composition, black point compensation, and optical aberration correction.
Photo Affinity is not an image manager.
Affinity Photos is available as a free trial of Affinity Website. Desktop and iPad versions are available for purchase directly from Mac App Store or iOS App Store. The Windows PC version is available online from the Microsoft Store.

Development
Affinity Photo is Mac's second Serif app, and as Affinity Designer is built from the base to fully take advantage of core Mac technologies including Grand Central Dispatch, Core Graphics, OpenGL, and 2 Metal hardware acceleration. Like Designer, working at Affinity Photo always lives with pan and zoom at 60fps, direct preview and nondestructive editing. Supports unlimited layers and special RAW editing workspaces, as well as RGB, CMYK, LAB, gray space with CMYK end-to-end workflow with ICC color management, and 16-bit per channel editing.
Reception
The macOS version of Affinity Photo was well received by professional photographers, and Apple named it the best Mac application of 2015. Affinity Photo was awarded the Best Imaging Software by the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA)) in photokina in the year 2016. In November, 2017, the iOS version was named by Apple as the best iPad app of the year, and Tom's Guide chose Affinity Photo for their first list of Best Technology Value.

Version history
Serif formed an R & amp; D for Affinity Photo in 2009, led by lead designer Andy Somerfield. The free beta-test version of the Affinity Photo app was released to the public on February 9, 2015. The initial stable release of Affinity Photo, version 1.3.1, was launched on the Mac App Store July 9, 2015 for OS X 10.7 or later. Version 1.3.5, released in August, provides many bug fixes and fixes.
Serif announced the first major update to Affinity Photo in December 2015. Version 1.4 adds stitching panoramic photos as well as support for OS X 10.11 El Capitan, including six Affinity extensions for Apple Photos. Updates to both the Affinity app (Designer and Photos) and the website provide language support for Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified). It adds four languages ​​in previous versions: English (US and English), German, French, and Spanish. Stability and bug fixes were released with Affinity Photo 1.4.1 and 1.4.2, in January and June 2016. Version 1.4.3 in September 2016 optimized Affinity Photo for Sierra 10.12 macOS.
In December 2016, Serif launched Affinity Photo for Windows, and released an update to the macOS version at the same time, Affinity Photo 1.5.1 added a 32-bit RGB editing mode with support for 32-bit file formats and over 70 RAW file formats new camera, as well as the ability to develop RAW files directly into 32-bit documents. Version 1.5.1 also added support for the new MacBook Pro TouchBar.
Serif launches Affinity Photo for iPad during the essence at WWDC Apple in San Jose on June 5, 2017. In September 2017, the iPad version has been updated for compatibility with Apple's new iOS 11.
Serif released major updates for Affinity Photo, as well as Affinity Designer, in November 2017. Affinity Photo 1.6.6 is optimized for MacOS 10.13 Sierra High (and 2 Metal Acceleration), better integration with Apple Photos, enhanced Photoshop Plugins support and added options to switch between dark or bright user interfaces.
